From 19th – 23rd May 2026, there was a well-attended reunion in the city of Nanaimo, on the east coast of Vancouver Island, Canada, which was organised by the irrepressible Dennis Cornell.

Josie Creamer wrote:
It was awesome, amazing, truly wonderful being at the EO Reunion. Our host Dennis really put his whole soul and energy into making it a wonderful experience.
Brilliant seeing old and new friends, listening to the stories, laughing and dancing. True Canadian hospitality, wonderful meeting so many friends of Dennis. Gerry is right at home with the Rednecks.
You can never replace a kindred spirit. Thank you, Nanamio, but most of all Dennis, Beth and all the good folk for making our time so special with you all. Big hugs, Gerry & Josie
Marian Watkins added:
Josie has summed up the reunion so well that nothing more needs to be added except another thank you to Dennis.
Dennis has asked me to list the names of the EO Crew who attended, so in no particular order:
Dennis Cornell, Ross Battersby, Bruce Watkins, Bryan Wallace, Bill Wallace, Peter Abel, Michelle Scully, Annie Bradshaw, Aroha Uea, Andre van der Most, Angus Scott-Knight, Brian Feltovich, Bruce Davidson, Phil Sheard, Mark VanderWel, Gerry Creamer, Robyn and Tony Watson.
So 18 EO Crew plus 8 partners, 3 EMs and 2 friends of Debbie’s who attended 1 or 2 events. Janie, who drove the minibus on our tour, also joined us around the firepit.
It was a perfect number so that everyone joined in and felt welcome.
The memories shared the first night and around the campfire on the last night were wonderful, particularly Robyn’s memory about taking spare parts into Iran. Wow!
The last day of the five-day reunion was held at Dennis’s. I had heard Dennis speak about herding cats, and that must have been how he felt waiting for all of us to turn up. But it turned out so well.
During the afternoon, there were video calls from Rob Rumball, who was with Rein Kamar and Kevin Heeley, and then from Tony Jones.
Tony asked for a group photo with names; however, although lots of photos were taken, none were of the whole group.
So below are photos which include all of the EO Crew who attended.
